Winn wins U23 title

Written by Millican at 02:28 10/5-2021

Season 56 was a great success at Millican, with Darius Winn providing the exclamation point! Overall, several milestones were made, with an all time high in points in a season (1490), Nate Thurston picking up wins #25 and 26 and truly becoming an OCM great, and new talent Darius Winn bringing home Millican's first jersey in the U23 World Championship. The celebrations at Millican HQ may have gotten a little out of hand following Winn's triumph, with several days of recovery needed to get this typed up....

Propelling this success was several high-maxing trainees, following several seasons with low maxer's. Henry Carpenter and Darius Winn both maxed high as very useful TMs and captains in the right races, with Winn looking like Thurston's eventual replacement as all-3 captain. Jaime Bolque still has a few training points left to go in SP/TQ, and blind training competition signing Diogo Zito is looking like a very fast finisher with potential to serve as a SP captain depending how things go.

  Season goals for S57:

Finish training Bolque, Zito, and new TT/LO1 talent Pfeiffer
  Win the FR race competition
Use Thurston on top form to pick up at least 2 wins
TT centre several of our LO1s for some extra FR firepower
